Sonic Rumble Has A Sonic Movie Reward To Unlock Through Its Pre-Registration Campaign

SEGA's upcoming multiplayer party battle royale game, Sonic Rumble, has opened its pre-registrations for mobile devices and PC via Steam in December 2024, and players can start registering for their preferred device or platform. The game launches for PC via Steam, Android, and iOS devices, with a release date yet to be announced; SEGA revealed some rewards players can receive as part of the Pre-Registration Campaign.

While the game is slated for a 2025 release window, players can continue pre-registering or adding the game to their Wishlist (Steam), which, once they hit specific milestones, they'll receive a reward. One reward to be unlocked in particular has Sonic fans rumbling with excitement, especially for fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog film series.

Participating in the Pre-Registration Campaign will contribute to a Rewards Tracker, which, at specific milestones, new rewards will be unlocked and sent to all players in-game at launch. Thus far, players have helped unlock 5,000 Rings and the Happy Sticker, which have a few more rewards to unlock through pre-registering, including the Crystal Chao buddy and the Garnet Knuckles skin.

Perhaps the reward many want to unlock is available at the final milestone, although it's unclear how many pre-registrations are needed for this reward. Nevertheless, the final milestone reward all players can receive following its global release is a skin for Sonic based on the Sonic the Hedgehog film series.

To begin pre-registering and participating in the Sonic Rumble Pre-Registration Campaign, players can head to the game's website or listing via Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store and follow the prompts by selecting the "Get" or "Install" button and on Steam, they can add the game to their Wishlist which "all count towards the pre-registration total." According to the requirements provided at the bottom of the page, the Movie Sonic skin "will be obtainable for all users that have downloaded and played Sonic Rumble between the release of the game and 12/31/2025 (PDT)."
