The kung fu action-adventure, Sifu, is one of the potential sleeper hits of 2022. Set in a modern Chinese city, in this game we play as a kung fu student on their journey of vengeance, as they seek to fulfil their vendetta against a clan of assassins who have murdered their family.
Sifu combines action-adventure structure with beat 'em up combat mechanics, where players will have over 150 special kung fu moves at their disposal to defeat their enemies.
Combat is tactical and deliberate, with a lot of opportunities for counter-attacks, combos, and different openings. And while the combat system definitely sounds like a lot of fun, the main gimmick of Sifu lies in its rogue-lite mechanic. Namely, if you die in Sifu, you have a special magical talisman that can bring you back to life, but there's a catch. Each time you die you will get a tad bit older until you eventually permanently die of old age due to rapid ageing caused by the talisman's mystical powers.
Here's eevrything you need to pre-load the game on the PS5, PS4, and PC including release date and system requirements.
