Seekers of Skyveil will enter Closed Beta in September 2024 on Steam, marking "a new era" for the game. Elodie Games promises that its new title will offer a fresh take on extraction titles "in a genre dominated by first-person shooters and grim-dark military sims."
"Our foundational gameplay loop will be complete, and we’ll turn our attention to adding more depth to the experience, with more Seekers, content, and other features on the way," developers explained.
Seekers of Skyveil includes MOBA, battle royale, and hero shooter elements, with fast-paced action throughout. Players will also have lots of opportunities to express themselves through their choice of Seeker, or hero. There are nine different Seekers for players to pick from, each with their own power, aesthetic, and personality.
In a match, you'll head into a dungeon with as many as two other Seekers as you battle creatures, make your way to powerful bosses, and encounter enemy players. To keep your loot, you'll need to find your way out alive. The Closed Beta playtest will include a third map on top of the two already in the Alpha playtests.
Seekers of Skyveil's next closed Alpha playtest is in North America on Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9. The game is Elodie Games' first title, though the studio is made up of industry veterans from the likes of Riot Games, Blizzard, and Ubisoft.
