Nintendo Switch 10.0.0 update brings rebindable controls

If you are planning on buying Nintendo Switch these days, you might have some problems, given that Switch almost sells out worldwide.

But, if you are proud Switch owner than this latest update will for sure make you happy!

Update 10.0.0 brought some long-overdue features to this popular Nintendo console.

First and foremost, you can now finally remap the controller buttons directly from the system. Analog stick and button configurations can now be changed for each paired controller, and custom configurations can be saved as favourites in System Settings > Controllers and Sensors. Up to five favourite custom configurations can be saved for Joy-Con (L), five for Joy-Con (R), five for Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. No other controllers are supported at the moment. Five configurations can also be saved as favourites for Nintendo Switch Lite.

A second important feature is that you can now transfer software data between the system memory and an SD card. That includes all downloadable software, update data, and DLC from the system memory to an SD card (and vice versa), but still does not includes save files.

Amongst less important new features is that you can now bookmark up to 300 favourite news items, Play Activity Settings, and some new Animal Crossing: New Horizons user profile icons.

And of course, various system stability improvements, optimisation and other backend stuff "to enhance the user's experience."
