Players can gain access to various valuable items and equipment, like gadgets and tools, that will help them progress with research missions or expeditions and further their explorations. At the start of their campaign, namely the Stone Road expedition, a few tools are stable to acquire for these purposes, with one being the Anchor.
If players already know how useful the Winch is, the Anchor is a supporting gadget that can help them get out of tough situations if no natural anchor points are found. This guide will help players gain an understanding of Anchors, including how to get and best use them in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game.
How To Get And Use The Anchor In Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game?
An Anchor is one of many tools players can acquire and utilize during expeditions or when exploring wild open-world environments. Its primary function is to be placed on any flat surface and set as an attachment point before attaching or detaching a Winch to it.
This is only the case if no natural anchors are found nearby, which using an Anchor allows them to attach the Winch and can either pull or push themselves onto surfaces or out of lakes and crevices. Winches and Anchors are essential tools that most players should always add to their Inventory for every expedition they deploy and assist them in explorations.
As such, acquiring an Anchor or more is pretty straightforward to come by as players can find them through various methods in-game. The first way they can earn Anchors is during the Expedition Setup screen, which, depending on the expedition's requirements, some will call for Anchors, which can be purchased at this point.
Another way players can get Anchors is from Airdrops, which can be found on every map in-game once they've been discovered using the Metal Detector. Airdrops often contain extremely valuable items, resources, and more that can make a difference in failing or completing expeditions.
Players can purchase anchors, which can be used a maximum of five times before needing more, and they can also sell Anchors during the aforementioned Expedition Setup screen. However, doing so will see Anchors and other equipment types, such as gadgets and inventory items, for 50% less their price, which we wouldn't advise selling.
It can also be sold immediately after an expedition's completion, meaning players will lose any equipment purchased for expeditions. If they wish to keep these items, the best option is to have them stored at the base, as doing so will grant them access to their equipment, including Anchors, without having to buy them again.
