Evil Dead: The Game was released earlier this year by Saber Interactive, and by all accounts, the game was deemed a huge success for its gory, action-packed, and badass gameplay. Now the developers over at Saber have brought us a brand new update based on the 1992 film by Sam Raimi, Army of Darkness.
If you're keen to dive right into his brand new update and want to know more about what you can expect, then keep reading as we'll uncover everything you need to know about this new free update and what it brings to the table.
Evil Dead The Game Free Army Of Darkness Update
This all-new medieval-themed update or DLC is set to bring some brand new content to the game and expand on what is already there. Players will have a brand new map to explore that's been ripped straight out of the Army of Darkness called Castle Kandar.
Here players will be able to scour the entire area while taking on Deadites, demons, and ghouls alike. All while exploring some unique landmarks from the film, such as the Windmill, the Arthurian Outpost, Fort Gort, and Castle Kandar Keep.
Along with this new map, the game will also receive some new items for players to buy and some you can grab for free. Lord Arthur, Henry the Red, and Evil Ash each received premium outfits, the Battle Prep Outfit, the Scottish Vibe Outfit, and the Gilded Attire, all of which cost $7.99 as a bundle and are free for season pass owners.
Players can also buy Ash’s S-Mart costume and Williams Gallant skin for $2.99 each. But for players who want some new items without dropping some cash, the game offers two free weapons featured in the franchise's history, the mace and the explosive crossbow.

These weapons are available for all players to use and fit perfectly with the medieval-themed setting of this new update. The mace is a more slow, heavy, and brutal weapon, and the explosive crossbow is a more flashy, explosive (literally), and wide-range damage dealer.
Evil Dead: The Game will also feature a new mode for players to explore, Exploration Mode, which allows you to explore the recreated set pieces from the movie without the threat of death at your heels. This unique and welcomed feature gives us a chance to explore the maps and find some unique easter eggs.
Lastly, the update overall will give us a set of balance changes, and tweaks to the game as outlined by the official patch notes that range from quality of life changes, bug fixes, and more. And with all these changes, there is a good reason to jump back into the brutal, bloody, and insanely fun ride Evil Dead: The Game.
