After alpha testing, Elite Dangerous: Odyssey is all set for its global launch. An expansion for Elite Dangerous, a space flight simulation game developed and published by Frontier Developments. Elite Dangerous: Odyssey Release Date and Time
Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will release on 19th May for PC, and players will be available to download from Steam, Epic Games Store and the Frontier Store. However, the console version of the game is still under development and is scheduled to release during Autumn 2021.

In Elite Dangerous: Odyssey, players will be able to set foot on the existing airless planets for the very first time, along with the ones with a tenuous atmosphere. In addition to this, they will be able to walk around specific interiors of ports, settlements and stations, as well as Thargoid bases and the Guardian ruins. Here are a few features that will be available in the game:
Planets and Atmospheres
The game will feature new rock formations on the planetary surfaces to make the navigation more interesting, and in addition to this, players will not have to travel back to the bubble in order to claim the planets and moons. Also, a lot of new varieties of flora and vegetation will be found on the planetary surfaces, and their locations will be shown from space.
Space Suits and Equipment

The players will be able to pick four types of weapons in the game, including Kinetic, Plasma, Laser and Explosive weapons. Each type of weapon will have a different manufacturer, and players will be able to take these with them on missions.
Missions
Missions in Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will be based on the locations, current state of background simulation and more. The game will feature various types of missions, including Assassination, Scavenging Mission, Power Core and more.
Cross-platform Support
Unfortunately, Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will not support crossplay, and the Game Designer Luke Betterton has said that currently, they don’t have any plans to bring this feature to the game.
