It's not unusual to see some expensive and unique merchandise for a new video game releases that target people who are collectors and are willing to spend some extra cash in order to have these special items, themed around the game they love.
This is especially the case with some titles that are coming from Japan, and in recent years we saw things like Devil May Cry 5 Ultra Limited Edition which included Dante's coat, for a 'small' price of £6100. One of my probably favourite things was a Resident Evil typewriter, which came with Resident Evil 2 Premium Edition.
And now on the list of overly expensive accessories related to video games, we can add this £1500 Deth Stranding anorak.
It was created by designer Errolson Hugh, a personal friend of Hideo Kojima, who also appears in the Death Stranding. At first, it was created solely for the Hideo Kojima himself, but limited numbers of it were sold to the general public, and it's already been sold out.
"Official BRIDGES variant of J1A-GT Gen 2.2 to commemorate the release of Death Stranding," the official description says. "Developed in close collaboration with Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions. Conceived and art directed by Yoji Shinkawa."
As we mentioned, the anorak is currently sold out, and we don't know if they will make more. It's quite an expensive jacket, that's for sure, but it does look pretty nice (except for that yellow pouch, which hopefully can be removed), and judging by description on the product page, it has all kinds of new fabric-related technologies integrated into it.
