It's been less than two weeks since the announcement of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, so obviously there is still so much we don't know about the game.
And that includes Season Pass details. Like with the previous games in the series, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Season Pass will include several DLC story mission packs.
The Season Pass DLCs will likely add new regions, characters, stories, quests, and enemies to fight, as well as new customisation options and equipment.
Thanks to the oversight at the German Uplay Store, we now know what will be the first DLC story mission. It is called The Legend of Beowulf, named after the famous Old English epic poem from the early Middle Ages.
This information is available on the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla Ultimate Edition page, under the Season Pass section. There, it says: "Includes the story mission: The Legend of Beowulf. Discover the cruel truth behind the legend."
This looks like the oversight from someone who manages the German page since this information can't be found on the English version of the Uplay store. Instead, there's just a generic "immersive Story Mission" placeholder, but from there we can find out that this mission will be available at launch as the first DLC story mission.
Beowulf is one of the most famous English epic poems and is set in Scandinavia in the 6th century. It tells a story of Beowulf, a hero of the Geats, who comes to the aid of Hrothgar, the king of the Danes. The monster, known as Grendel, is attacking king's mead hall in Heorot, but Beowulf slays him and his mother, who came to avenge her son's death.
After that, he goes back home to Geatland (today Götaland in Sweden), and there he becomes king of the Geats. Much later, in his old age, he beats a mighty dragon, but is mortally wounded in the battle and dies shortly after. This means that we will probably see and fight the mighty Dragon and Grendel in this DLC.
