Action RPG Torchlight II is free to keep on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games continues with its campaign of giving away free games every Thursday.

Last week we got not one, but three free games: The Escapists 2, Killing Floor 2, and Lifeless Planet.

This week, we are getting "just" one game, but that one is one of the best action RPGs from the last 10 years - Torchlight II.

Torchlight II is an action role-playing dungeon crawler, the sequel to Torchlight(2009).

The game was developed and published by Runic Games, and it was released for PC on 20 September 2012, while ports for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One were released on 3 September 2019.

The game offers four classes to choose from, Engineer, Outlander, Berserker, or Embermage, and you can play it single-player or in co-op.  A planned sequel, Torchlight III, is scheduled for release in 2020.

Torchlight II will be free to keep on the Epic Games Store for the next seven days, and after that, two new free games will be Next Up Hero and Tacoma.

Torchlight II supports Steam Workshop, allowing for automatic mod subscription and synchronization. Choose from over a thousand mods and bend the game to your will. Or use GUTS, the Torchlight II editor, to create and share your work with the entire world!

NEW GAME PLUS
In New Game Plus, the game's not over until you say it is. Once you've beaten Torchlight II's primary campaign, you can start again with the same character for a significantly greater challenge. You'll keep all the skills, gold, and gear you worked so hard for!

PETS & FISHING
These popular features make their return in Torchlight II in an improved form. More choices, better effects, and your pet will still make the run to town to sell your loot so you don’t have to.
