UPDATE: Gen.G took the win over Team Brax in the Grand Final, check out our recap to find out more.
Since the launch of the Valorant closed beta, players have been looking to play and consume Riot's new tactical shooter as competitively as possible.
On the playing side, we now have ranked mode to scratch that itch, and on the consuming side, we have had a number of tournaments already spring featuring some of the game's best players.
However today's event - the T1 Valorant Invitational - looks to be, on paper at least, the most competitive yet featuring eight teams ranging from experienced pros from other esports and some of the early stars of Valorant.

Teams include Korean org T1's own Valorant roster featuring Braxton "Brax" Pierce and Keven "AZK" Lariviere who will be hoping to make it three-in-three in Valorant Invitationals after winning T1's previous event and the 100Thieves Invitational.
There will also be sides from Michael "shroud" Grzesiek and esport org Sentinels, where we will get to see Jay "Sinatra" Won in action for the first time after he made his shock exit from Overwatch esports.
They will be joined by a few other familiar faces and two teams that gained their place through an online qualifier - meaning we may witness the birth of Valorant's very first esport star.
The tournament kicks off on Monday, 4th May at 10:00 am PT - here is everything you need to know ahead of the event.
The Format
The tournament is a double-elimination knockout stage tournament. All games in the upper bracket are Bo3 while the lower bracket games are Bo1. If a team is beaten in the upper bracket, they drop down to the lower bracket.
