Fans witnessed one of the most intense series today in the Pacific Kickoff, featuring the longest map ever played in VCT Pacific history. The second map of the series between RRQ and Nongshim, Lotus, lasted 42 rounds, with Nongshim emerging victorious.
Persia was the MVP of the map with 35 kills and an ACS of 244. Francis and Ivy also played crucial roles, securing unbelievable clutches to keep RRQ on their toes.
In the best-of-three series, the 2024 Ascension Pacific winners, Nongshim, were crowed the winners as they keep their Masters Bangkok hopes alive.
When Dambi was asked about the team laughing even during the tense rounds on Lotus, he said, "I just asked the other guys why they were laughing, and they said, ‘You know, it's just fun. We're playing Valorant, and even if we lose, we're still learning. So let's just enjoy this.’ We were just killing it out there."
The series peaked at over 250,000 viewers, making it one of the top five most-watched matches in the Pacific Kickoff 2025. You can check out the highlights for the game below:
With their loss, RRQ is now eliminated from the tournament and won't be qualifying for Masters Bangkok as well.
Nongshim, on the other hand, will face Talon on February 2 and you'll be able to catch the action live on the VCT Pacific Twitch and YouTube channels.
