How To Get High Score On The Arcade Machine

To find the arcade machine in The Casting of Frank Stone, you'll need to walk into the convenience store where Chris goes to buy milk. This section of the game is shortly after you enter either the Curiosities Shop or the Pharmacy.

Once you're there, walk to the back of the convenience store into the little nook on the right. Here, you'll find the Fear Trap arcade machine. To play it, just interact with it. Playing it isn't necessary to progress in the story, but it is necessary to get an achievement.

The minigame consists of a simple vertical shooter; your goal is to shoot the little floating ghosts and skulls, while avoiding the shots coming down at you. It might take a few tries, but to get the achievement, you'll need to beat the previous high score of 5020. To get that score, you'll need to beat around three levels of the game, which gets more difficult as you progress.

Once you've successfully beaten the previous high score on the board, you'll get the 8 Bit Hero achievement. and you'll also see your name - or, Chris', rather - added to the top of the list. Congratulations on your new high score! Now that you've completed this, you'll no longer need to play the arcade machine and can move on.
