Having an idea when the latest patch of Teamfight Tactics is coming up is very important for players of the game. The reason for this is that even the smallest changes in TFT can affect the meta in a big way. A comp that was overpowered one week could be completely useless the next week.
That is why Riot Games releases a patch schedule for their games, including TFT. Having a schedule allows players to plan ahead on how long they have to use their favorite comp before they have to use something new to climb ranks in TFT.

What Time Does TFT Patches Release?
Typically, you will have around two weeks per patch in TFT before Riot balances the game. Riot almost always patches TFT every two weeks on a Wednesday.
This is largely in line with the patch schedule for League of Legends. That is because Teamfight Tactics does not currently have its own client and shares a client with League of Legends. So when League of Legends updates, you can expect a TFT patch at almost the same time. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule.
If a certain team comp is dominating the meta or if there is a major bug, Riot may release a B patch or a hotfix to solve the issue. Riot has claimed that they can only do that once before a patch comes out.
