Teamfight Tactics is a game that is constantly changing. Throughout the lifespan of TFT, players are going to have to adapt to each set of TFT. Although TFT will remain the same at its core, each set of TFT is different. That is because the sets add new mechanics to the game that players have to learn and adapt to.
The players who do that the best can get on ranked and climb the ladder to reach the highest rank possible. As we continue through the roadmap of TFT, players are wondering how much time left they have to reach their ranked goals. Here, we are going to go over how long the ranked TFT season will be and when it should end.

When Does The Current TFT Ranked Season End
Determining the Ranked Season for TFT is actually not that hard. To start, the beginning of each ranked season of TFT begins with each new set. The ranked season ends when the set changes for TFT. So that means that so long as the current set is still happening, you are still in the same ranked season.

Thankfully, the developers of TFT are very open about the patch schedule for TFT during the year. Based on how long previous ranked seasons have lasted, we can estimate when the season will end and when the set will change.
We expect the current ranked season of TFT to end on September 13th. You can see how long you have to wait on the countdown timer, just below:
What Happens At The End Of A TFT Ranked Season
What happens at the end of a TFT-ranked season depends on when that season ends. For example, if you are playing ranked during Set 8 and you are now in Set 8.5, you will not get a full-rank wipe. You will only be knocked down one rank lower than your current rank when the midset starts. Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger players will be knocked back to Diamond though.
If you are playing ranked during a midset and the next set is a brand-new set for TFT, things will be different. For example, if you were playing in Set 8.5 and you are now playing in Set 9, you will recieve a full rank reset. This is the cycle that has happened with every ranked season of TFT, which actually makes the climb less punishing for players.
