Texas Chain Saw Massacre allows both Victims and Slaughter Family members to purchase perks and allocate skill points to attributes in order to make your characters stronger. There are many different paths one can take for any given character, so you might be wondering if you're able to alter those later on or if you're stuck with your original build. Thankfully, you can respec in TCSM no matter what character you're playing.
If you want to reallocate your points in your skill tree, here's how to respec in Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
How To Respec In Texas Chain Saw Massacre
To allocate skill points on your characters in TCSM, all you need to do is head to the main screen, select Customization, and pick a character. From there, you can spend your skill points to your heart's content. It's a pretty easy process to buy the Slaughter Family and Victim perks and attributes you want - but what if you're not happy with how you spent them?
It's just as easy to refund those purchases and respec your characters. To respec your skill tree, you can reset it by pressing one button. On PC, it's "R." Once you press this button, your skill tree will be entirely reset, and you can spend your points again however you like since they'll be returned right back to you.
Thankfully, since Texas Chain Saw Massacre does allow you to respec characters, you can easily try out different perks and attributes every match. Want to try out a whole new build or just switch out one perk? Just hit that button and mix it up.
Just remember that choosing to respec does erase all perks you've bought and reset your build, so if you have a build you want to save, you'll want to take note of it so you can use it later. Unfortunately, there's no way to get your skill points returned for just a few perks or attribute spends, though this is something we'd love to see from developers in the future.
By reallocating your skill points in TCSM, you can create ideal builds for Victims like Connie and Leland, and Slaughter Family members like Leatherface and The Cook. Because it's free and easy to respec, it's a good idea to test out different perks and attribute allocations to determine what works best for your character of choice and playstyle.
