While some Slaughter Family members in TCSM are excellent at chasing down survivors, others are great at locating them; Johnny falls on the far latter end of that spectrum, excelling at tracking Victims and identifying their locations.
In this guide, let's take a deeper look at Johnny's ability in Texas Chain Saw Massacre and how best to play him.
Johnny's Ability In Texas Chain Saw Massacre
Johnny's ability, Hunt, allows him to efficiently track down Victims once he's neared their location. He can see fresh footsteps with ease, making it easy for him to follow Victims and bring them to their demise.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre: How To Play Johnny
Johnny's Hunt ability lets him track down Victims, making him a great killer to play when players use his strengths; here are some tips on how to do that.
Use Your Ability Frequently
The Hitchhiker is quite slow, but his ability is excellent for tracking down Victims. Therefore, while chasing down Victims might not be your greatest strength as Johnny, it's a good idea to use your ability frequently to help out your other teammates and pin down Victims' locations throughout the match.
Communicate Often
Because The Hitchhiker is a great tracker but isn't great in a chase, you'll need to communicate Victims' locations to other Family members if you want to take down the Victim team. Once you find footsteps, you can call out Victims' locations to the other Slaughter family members, allowing Leatherface or another strong chaser to take down the survivors.
Check Hiding Spots
As Johnny, the footsteps you follow will sometimes lead you to a dead-end - but, likely, the survivor is hiding nearby. For example, if footsteps lead up to a car, you might want to check under the hood for a Victim hiding underneath. There are many different possible places for Victims to hide, so check hiding spots as often as you can if you have reason to suspect a Victim might be hiding there.
Johnny is the best Slaughter family member when it comes to finding Victims hiding in sneaky locations, so be sure to use this to your advantage as much as possible.
Those are all of our favorite tips and tricks for playing Johnny in the Texas Chain Saw Massacre. He's a great killer to play if your playstyle is tracking down Victims and communicating with your team.
