Tales of the Shire Gets Focus in Upcoming 'A Hobbit Day' Showcase

Private Division and Wētā Workshop appear to be onto a winning idea, letting fans live out their cosy dreams of Hobbit life in the upcoming Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game. It's a setting that ripe for a casual life sim, letting us personalise our own little Hobbit, decorate our own Hobbit home in Hobbiton, and enjoying all of life's little delights.

For any Lord of the Rings fans, like myself, you'll no doubt be watching Tales of the Shire with great interest. Thankfully, in celebration of 'Hobbit Day,' the joint birthdays of Bilbo Baggins and his nephew Frodo, Private Division and Wētā Workshop will be holding a special stream centered on Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game.

When Does A Hobbit Day Showcase Begin?

On September 22, 2024 fans will be able to tune into A Hobbit Day Showcase at the following time, depending on timezone:

Fans can watch along withA Hobbit Day Showcase on Twitch, YouTube, X/Twitter, and TikTok. Following the stream there will also be a Q&A panel.

What To Expect From Tales of the Shire's A Hobbit Day Showcase?

While Wētā devs haven't gone into too many specifics on what will be shown during the showcase, they have confirmed that they will be diving deeper into some of the game's features. These include: cooking, fishing, foraging, decorating, trading, and more.

The team is also expected to highlight some of the game's narrative, and how it has been crafted in a way that stays true to the books, as well as some of the characters players will be meeting during their game.
