Still Wakes the Deep Book May Be On The Way

The Chinese Room released Still Wakes the Deep on the 18th to Very Positive reviews on Steam, and now, it seems the studio has even more surprises in store for fans after the game's release. The developers announced an upcoming collaboration with Lost in Cult and Cook & Becker; given that Lost in Cult is known for its book publications, it seems pretty likely that a Still Wakes the Deep book might be on the way.

The book could very well be a novel rendition of the events that take place in Still Wakes the Deep; the game's riveting narrative would easily lend itself to a book format. In a novel, fans could hear more about Caz's emotions as he deals with the tragedy on the Beira D, and get to know the other characters on the rig even better than they do in the game.

However, a Still Wakes the Deep book could easily take another form, too - such as a visual novel giving us a new perspective on the Beira D, or even a cookbook giving players some tips on how to cook the many recipes shown on Roy's menu in the game. Other games, like Stardew Valley, have recently released their very own cookbooks. 

Fans will get to hear more information about the Chinese Room x Cook & Becker x Lost in Cult collab on 25 June, at 6 PM BST. For now, we can only speculate about what the new content may be - but it seems pretty likely that we'll be getting a Still Wakes the Deep book in some form, whether it's a novel, comic book, or a cookbook.
