The feature-filled, long-awaited Stardew Valley update 1.6 was released back on 19 March 2024, as indie developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone delivered a new experience much bigger than anticipated on PC. Since then, gamers have wondered when Stardew Valley 1.6 will be released on consoles and mobile devices.
After all, on the 8th anniversary of Stardew Valley, when announcing the 1.6 update's release date, the developer did say "Console & Mobile will follow as soon as possible."

It's been over five months, and still, there's no Stardew Valley 1.6 for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Android, or iOS.
So what's the issue? Well, recently, developer ConcernedApe took to X to update fans, explaining how he hasn't even touched the new game Haunted Chocolatier and is still focused on bringing the latest Stardew Valley update to mobile and consoles.
Console and mobile ports are still in progress. I acknowledge that they are taking a long time. So when is Stardew Valley 1.6 be released for mobile devices and consoles? Your guess is as good as mine at this point. The developer did not provide a new timeframe, but it is great to see ConcernedApe addressing fan concerns, and keeping players in the loop.
