The annual fan experience, Star Wars Celebration, received its first updated news following its announcement during the last event in London, United Kingdom, in 2023. The event will be heading to Japan for the second time during the Easter Weekend and will be hosted "once again at the Makuhari Messe" with ticket sale information released this week.
Lucasfilm published this information on the official Star Wars website on 21st March 2024, along with the official key artwork of the imposing Darth Vader in front of a Japanese-themed backdrop featuring the Japanese flag, cherry blossoms, and the iconic natural landmark, Mount Fuji. They announced the dates and times for the first wave of tickets, with VIP holders getting early access, which begins in May 2024.
According to the official announcement on StarWars.com, tickets for Star Wars Celebration 2025 will go on sale globally in early May. Jedi Master VIP ticketholders will gain early access "to a limited number of tickets" via a pre-sale sale on 1st May 2024 at 9 am PDT / 12 pm EDT / 4 pm UTC and 2nd May 2024 at 1 am JST.
The general public can acquire their tickets and secure the high ground when they go on sale the next day, including the Jedi Master VIP offering, single-day, multi-day passes for adults and children. Tickets will go on sale for the general public at the following dates and times:
- 2nd May 2024 at 4 pm PST / 7 pm EST / 11 pm UTC
- 3rd May 2024 at 12 am BST / 8 am JST
Additional event information, including "panel discussions, autograph opportunities," fan interaction events, and more, will be released in the coming months. Lucasfilm announced recently that all nine Star Wars films will be heading to theatres in a marathon limited-time experience on 4th May 2024, or Star Wars Day.
