The galactic action-adventure game Star Wars Outlaws is traveling through Hyperspace as it will launch on PC via Steam this Holiday season, according to a statement from French publisher Ubisoft. This news was made in the publisher's most recent "financial targets" report for 2024–2025, which included an update on the game's status after its August 2024 launch.
Ubisoft stated that while Star Wars Outlaws garnered positive "solid ratings" at its release, the publisher acknowledged that the game's "initial sales proved softer than expected." As such, Massive Entertainment has listened to the feedback received from players following the game's release and has restrategized to "fully mobilized to swiftly implement a series of updates to polish and improve the player experience."
This new development direction for Massive and the new platform availability should see more players jumping into this high-stakes adventure, especially those who have yet to explore Kay Vess' galactic hijinks. Star Wars Outlaws release via Steam on 21st November 2024 which the publisher further stated that they hope it will reach "a large audience during the holiday season to position Star Wars Outlaws as a strong long-term performer."
Unfortunately, the game's listing isn't available as of writing, meaning players cannot pre-order or add the game or any additional content to their Wishlist, but we'll update this article once the Steam page is live. To sweeten the deal even further for fellow Scoundrels, the game's developer announced recently on social media the first expansion, Wild Card, becomes available globally on 21st November 2024, likely including Steam.
Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card finds Kay crossing paths with the famed Lando Calrissian, who informs her that there's another high-stakes game set in motion at a Sabacc tournament. The DLC is included in the Season Pass, which is part of the game's Gold or Ultimate Editions, or with the Ubisoft+ subscription service and can be purchased separately from their preferred digital stores.
