How To Unlock Voltstanding In TYPE SOUL (Full Guide)

Before you begin, you'll need to have unlocked Schrift in TYPE SOUL. If you haven't already done this, please refer to our dedicated guide. When you're ready, you can begin your quest to unlock Voltstanding by locating the NPC Balance, who will monitor your progression.

This character is found at the top of the castle in Wandenreich City. Specifically, you'll find him sitting at the end of a long table in one of the rooms with the blue carpet. Once you find him, Balance will provide you with various tasks you'll need to complete.

Important: After completing each stage, return to Balance to activate the next stage.

Stage 1

The first step to unlock Voltstanding is by completing one of the following tasks. The tasks are practically identical to the Bankai progression.

• 13 Raid wins
• 7 Clan War wins
• 26 Ranked wins (1v1) — this is much harder.

Among these options, winning raids appears to be the easiest route, although it could be time-consuming.

Stage 2

In Stage 2, the journey to awaken Voltstanding in TYPE SOUL becomes even more challenging, and the stakes get higher. If you die during this stage, you're set back to the beginning of Stage 2, which means grinding all over again. To advance, you need to:

• Grip 15 Elites (pro tip: you can repeatedly grip one friend of an opposing faction)
• Kill 80 Hollows
• Kill 1 BawaBawa (the Serpent Boss in Hueco Mundo) or Jidanbo (the boss in Soul Society). They respawn every 1:30.

Pro tip: For this stage, it's highly recommended that you have a party of friends to help you. This is especially important to prevent you from being killed and needing to start all over again.

Stage 3

Stage 3 is where things truly heat up. You'll need to master the Quincy mini-game, which is unlocked by speaking to Balance after completing the first two stages. After doing so, you'll be teleported to a special realm and be one step closer to unlocking Volstanding in TYPE SOUL. In short, all you need to do is avoid (or dodge) the arrows that fall from the sky.
