The Pokémon Players Cup II has been announced, the second official online Pokémon Sword and Shield tournament series.
The first Pokémon Players Cup concluded last month, where Santino Tarquinio achieved an undefeated run to take the VGC title.
A follow-up tournament has since been revealed via Pokémon Home, which will be open to Masters Division players (if you’re born 31st December 2004 or earlier).

Online qualifiers will take place between Friday 25th September 12pm UTC and end on Sunday 27th September at 11.59pm UTC. This will then lead into regional online qualifiers in November.
You can sign up for online qualifiers from Thursday 10th September 5am UTC until Thursday 24th September 11.59pm UTC, through Sword and Shield. For more details on how to sign up, head here.
The tournament will follow the VGC Series 6 rules, and will follow the same structure as the original Pokemon Players Cup.
The main difference this time is only VGC and TCG (trading card game) will be included, with Pokken Tournament DX not involved - although they "hope" to include it in future events.
The Pokémon Players Cup became an official replacement of sorts to the cancelled Pokémon World Championships, which will now take place in London next year instead.
It’s likely this tournament will also coincide with the second DLC expansion for Sword and Shield, The Crown Tundra, which is set to release later this year.
