It's been almost a month since the start of Season of Legends, in which Pokémon GO has had events focused on Electric-type Pokémon, along with an event based on the Tiny Robin Pokémon, Fletchling, and the arrival of Thundurus at the five-star raids.
In this article, we bring you all the details about everything that will take part in-game during the month of April, which will mark the arrival of the entire Unova’s Cloud Trio, and many special events for the beginning of Spring.
Featured Pokémon and Pokémon Spotlight Hours

Male Frillish will be appearing within the research achievements throughout the month of April, plus each week different Pokémon from multiple regions will be appearing more frequently in the wild thanks to the Pokémon Spotlight Hours, these being:
- Buneary: On 6th April, and players will earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
- Mankey: On 13th April, and players will earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.
- Grimer: On 20th April, and players will earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Finneon: On 27th April, and players will earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
All the featured Pokémon will appear only from 6 pm to 7 pm, local time.
Weekly Legendary Raids and Raid Hours

Throughout the month, the same as in March, the Unova’s Cloud Trio will continue to appear recurrently in Raids, with two of these Pokémon making their debut in their Therian form, and being available for a limited time:
- Therian Forme Tornadus will be appearing in five-star raids, starting 30th March at 10 am, until 13th April, at 10 am local time.
- Therian Forme Landorus will be appearing in five-star raids starting 13th April at 10 am, until 27th April, at 10 am local time.
- Incarnate Forme Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus will be appearing in five-star raids starting 27th April, at 10 am local time.
All the Incarnate Forme raids will bring a chance to get any of them as Shiny Pokémon.

These will be the featured Mega Raids during April:
- After a long run during March, Mega Houndoom, Mega Manectric, and Mega Abomasnow will stop appearing on 4th April, at 10 am local time.
- From 4th April, at 10 am local time, a surprise Mega-Evolved Pokémon will start appearing for the rest of the month.
- Mega Gengar and Mega Manectric will be featured starting 5th April at 10 am until 20th April, at 10 am local time.
- To end, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Abomasnow will be appearing from 20th April, at 10 am local time.
Along with this, every Wednesday in April will feature a Raid Hour event from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. Raid Hours will feature the Pokémon appearing in five-star raids that week.
As a reminder, thanks to the Season of Legends you can gain extra XP for completing five-star raids.
Featured Events

This month, and continuing with the plot of the Team GO Rocket, a new Team GO Rocket Special Research will be available, called “The Higher They Fly…”, where players will be able to earn a Super Rocket Radar.
This will help you track down Giovanni, whom you will have to challenge to fight against his Shadow Zapdos. Players can also earn a Super Rocket Radar from the Team GO Rocket Timed Research that’ll be available from 1st to 8th April.
You can also enjoy this month’s Community Day featuring Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokémon, on 11th April, from 11 am to 5 pm local time.

Niantic has also announced the following events, with more details to be revealed soon:
- Spring into Spring: From 4th to 8th April, you can look forward to a spring-themed event, where Pokémon such as Chansey, Blissey, and Happiny will be appearing in the wild, as well as other spring- and Egg-themed surprises.
- Rivals’ Week: From 13th to 18th April, Pokémon that are rivals will be featured, including some Pokémon making their Pokémon GO debut
- Sustainability Week: From 20th to 25th April, players can look forward to a sustainability-themed event, with Pokémon like Grimer, Trubbish, and others appearing more often in the wild.
- Friendship Day: On 24th April, celebrate friendship with a brand-new event.
April will end with a snappy event that will continue into May.

To finish, every Monday in April, a free one-time bundle with a Remote Raid Pass and other items will be available in the in-game shop.
