How to get to the Resort Area in Pokémon BDSP

There are technically two different maps in the Sinnoh region of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The first map is the main one with the routes and towns that players progress through during their initial journey. If players access the Town Map before they beat the Pokémon League, this is the part of the map they’ll be on. 

However, there is also another region of Sinnoh that players can only access after doing a certain set of tasks. The Resort Area is one of the most attractive locations that’s accessed on this part of the map. Below, we show players exactly how to get to the Resort Area in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. 

Get to Resort Area in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

In order to get to the Resort Area, you first need to defeat the Pokémon League and its champion, Cynthia. Once this is done, the main part of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is considered over and you’ll have moved on to the post-game. 

This is where you can access the secondary map that’s located above the Pokémon League’s island. Of course, as players know, the Resort Area is the first location that you can make it to once you travel to this side of the map. 

In order to get there, you need to go to Snowpoint City, run south and meet a sailor waiting by a boat. Talk to the sailor and he will tell you he can sail you to the Resort Area.

Hop on the boat and after a few seconds, you’ll be walking in the Resort Area. From here, you can access the Battle Tower, the Fight and Survival Area and some post-game story elements.
