Crobat is the third and final evolution of one of Pokémon’s most infamous creatures, Zubat. While the annoying purple bat pops up a ton whenever players are traversing inside caves, they should try and at least catch one.
With enough time, it will evolve into Crobat, a blazing fast and decent attacking Poison and Flying-type Pokémon. When dealing with Cynthia’s Togekiss, Crobat can be one of the most valuable Pokémon on a team.
However, Crobat doesn’t have a standard evolution in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This means players won’t just be able to level it up and reach its final evolution. Players can read below for the full details on how to get Crobat in the Sinnoh remakes.
Get Crobat in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
To start, you’ll need a Zubat or Golbat. The former can be found in just about any cave in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so you don’t have to look far. To evolve Zubat into Golbat, all you need to do is train it up to level 22 and you’ll have yourself the second evolution in the line.
Once you have Golbat, you need to reach maximum friendship with it in order to evolve it into Crobat. This can be a difficult process, especially if you caught your Zubat at a later level.
To increase friendship, you can walk around with your Pokémon, battle with it, use battle items on it and have it at the front of your party. You can also give it a Soothe Bell, which is a held item that increases friendship.
If you need to check if your Golbat is nearing max friendship, you can acquire the Friendship Checker Pokétch app. You can find out where to acquire that app in a previous article.
With the app, you can hold your finger on the Pokémon you want to check. If it has two hearts, then it’s at or near max friendship. If it only has one heart, then you still have some work to do.
Once Golbat is at max friendship, it will evolve at the next level it reaches. Now you have a Crobat to take on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl with.
