Out of all of the mystical plates that are spread across Sinnoh in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Meadow Plate might be the hardest one to find. It’s not in a location that players think to look and it’s not inside of a Poké Ball or given to you by an NPC. Instead, you need to look in a specific spot by pressing A on the ground.
The Meadow Plate is one of the ways to boost Grass-type moves in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Pokémon that hold the item gets a significant boost to their Grass-type moves, allowing them to deal more damage in battle. While it’s prudent to give the item to a Grass Pokémon, any mon with a Grass-type move can benefit from the plate.
Below, you can find out how to exactly find the Meadow Plate in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Finding the Meadow Plate in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To start, you’ll need to have beaten the Sunnyshore City Gym Leader, Volkner. Beating the final Gym Leader in Sinnoh allows you to use the HM for Waterfall outside of battle. To acquire Waterfall, talk to Jasmine, the woman on the northern shore of Sunnyshore City.
Once you have Waterfall, you can Fly to Celestic Town and head to the eastern route. Go all the way across the bridges until you find a grass patch with trainers around it. You’ll then want to find a shore that has water near it, which you can Surf on.
Next, keep surfing until you find the first waterfall you see. Ascend the waterfall to reach a small patch of land. You need to jump off on this land and keep pressing A on the ground until you find the Meadow Plate. Now, whichever Pokémon you give it to will have its Grass-type moves powered up like never before.
