Choice Scarf in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, how to find

There are three different “Choice” items in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The one that players desire the most, though, is the Choice Scarf. This is an item that players can make their Pokémon hold that vastly improves their speed stat. 

There aren’t too many items in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl that boost a Pokémon’s overall speed. While the Quick Claw can allow them to move first, the Choice Scarf boosts the speed indefinitely. This comes with some offensive limits, however. 

Players are a bit confused as to where they can acquire the Choice Scarf in the new Sinnoh remakes. Below, fans can find a comprehensive guide as to where they can find this valuable held item. 

Finding the Choice Scarf in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Before you do anything involving the Choice Scarf, you’ll need to have made it to the post-game of either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl. This requires the acquisition of the National Dex and the crown of Pokémon League Champion. 

Once you’ve done both of these things, you’re considered in the post-game and can access new areas north of the Pokémon League. One of these areas is the Battle Park, which is where you can purchase the three Choice items. The Choice Scarf specifically costs 25 Battle Points at the Exchange Service Corner of the Battle Park. 

You can earn Battle Points by participating in battles at the Battle Park. If you’ve acquired 25 of them, then go to the shop and purchase the Choice Scarf. Once bought, you can give it to any one of your Pokémon to boost its speed stat by 50%. 

However, the large caveat with the Choice Scarf is it only lets you use one move on the Pokémon that’s holding it. So you need to plan what Pokémon needs a speed buff but also has a move that they can use repeatedly so their battle presence isn’t hindered too greatly.
