There is tons of new content for players to sink their teeth into in the new Teal Mask DLC. New areas to explore, new enemies to battle, and most importantly, new Pokémon to capture all await you in this first expansion wave. One of these new Pokémon is Poltchageist, a matcha variation of the already existing Sinistea and Polteageist line.
Evolving Sinistea into Polteageist requires several criteria to be met beforehand, and Poltchageist is no exception.
So, if you are interested in evolving your Poltchageist into Sinistcha, we have the answers you need. This is our guide on how to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC.
How To Evolve Poltchageist Into Sinistcha In The Teal Mask DLC
Firstly, players will need to obtain Poltchageist. Poltchageist is only available in the Teal Mask DLC, meaning players without the DLC will need to trade for one. It is possible to trade with players who have the DLC even if you do not own the DLC yourself in order to acquire all of the new Pokémon released in this update. Poltchageist can be found in the following locations in both games.
- Mossfell Confluence
- Reveler's Road Fixed: Oni Mountain
- Apple Hills
- Tera Raid Battles: 3*
Once you have obtained your Poltchageist, it is time to evolve it! However, before doing so, it is important to know what kind of Poltchageist you have. Just like Sinistea and Polteageist, Poltchageist can have two different forms. These are the Counterfeit Form and the Masterpiece Form / Authentic Form.
You can tell what kind of species you have by checking for a small mark on the base of the Pokémon. You can also try using both of the evolution items and see which one works.
To evolve a Counterfeit Poltchageist, players will need to use the Unremarkable Teacup on it. This item can be found in Northwest Kitakami in a southern cave.
To Evolve Masterpiece Poltchageist, players will need to use the Masterpiece Teacup, which can be found in the Northeastern part of Kitakami in a cave behind a resting Snorlax.
All you have to do after obtaining either of these items is use the item from your inventory on the Pokémon, in the same way you would use an elemental stone.
And that is everything you need to know about how to evolve Poltchageist into Sinistcha in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC!
