How To Get Every Legendary In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Here is everything you need to know about where to find legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How To Get Every Legendary In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

The legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are some of the most creative and powerful creatures we've ever seen. Caked in lore and with very interesting designs, it is no surprise that people want to acquire the legendary Paldea Pokémon as quickly as possible! Aside from the box art legendaries, there are four other legendary Pokémon out there waiting to be captured (with more potentially arriving with the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC). This article will cover where you can find every legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How To Get Every Legendary In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
There are currently six legendaries in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

As mentioned, there are six total legendaries in the game at the moment (all of which are, unfortunately, shiny-locked). Players can acquire five in the overworld but will have to trade for the box art legendary with someone with the opposite game.

Koraidon & Miraidon

Players will be given Koraidon (Scarlet) and Miraidon (Violet) at the start of the game. However, until you complete all three stories and the last boss, it is not useable in battle. After beating the final boss, players can switch between their Pokémon's ride form or battle form in the menu screen (this version cannot be traded).

Koraidon
Koraidon is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet and Miraidon is exclusive to Pokémon Violet.

Additionally, you can return to Area Zero to find a copy of the legendary Pokémon that was used against them in the final battle. This is a static encounter, so make sure you save the game beforehand. This version is only in its battle form and can be traded. Unfortunately, players will only be able to ride the box art legendary of their respective game, even if they receive an alternate ride Pokémon via trade.

Wo-Chien

Players must find all 8 Purple Stakes to unlock the Purple Shrine. Wo-Chien will be waiting inside, ready to be captured.

It will be level 60, so make sure you have a strong team to go into battle with. That being said, players will need to have unlocked the climbing ability to access several purple stakes (only acquired after defeating the level 55 False Dragon Titan), so it is likely that you have a strong team at this point.

Chien-Pao

Players must find all 8 Yellow Stakes to unlock the Yellow Shrine. Again, this Pokémon will be level 60, and you will need the climbing ability to find some of the stakes.

Ting-Lu

Players must find all 8 Green Stakes to unlock the Green Shrine. Again, this Pokémon will be level 60, and you will need the climbing ability to find some of the stakes.

Chi-Yu

Players must find all 8 Blue Stakes to unlock the Blue Shrine. Again, this Pokémon will be level 60, and you will need the climbing ability to find some of the stakes.

You can check out this video guide of where to find each of the 32 stakes exactly below:
