Pokémon Scarlet & Violet boasts around 400 Pokémon for all Trainers to find and “catch ‘em all” when exploring the open world of Paldea. It will take time to track down all Pokémon with either Koraidon or Miraidon, using various mechanics and methods before eventually evolving them.
Gothita and its evolutions, Gothorita and Gothitelle, is one of the game’s most elusive Pokémon to find; it will take some luck and persistence to add it to your Pokédex. Here’s how you can find and evolve Gothita in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
How To Get Gothita In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Gothita is a Psychic-type Pokémon that was introduced in Pokémon Black and White, and it seems like it has found itself a home in Paldea. Trainers can confuse it at times for Smoochum due to their similarities in appearances; however, what makes them different from Smoochum is that they can be found deeply entranced by their surroundings.
Gothita can be found in one location thus far in Paldea; however, under the right conditions, you may encounter it. It can be spotted at night only in East Province (Area Three) past the East Zapapico Pokémon Center, and if you are lucky, you may also spot Shuppet and Drifloon as nighttime spawns.
While it may be easy to locate Gothita in Paldea, there are plenty of Tier Two Tera Raids in this province, making it much more challenging. If you’re looking to catch its evolutions, Gothorita and Gothitelle pose a greater challenge, but keeping close by to the towns can make the search less challenging.
Gothorita will spawn southwest of the Alfornada Pokémon Center at the town’s outskirts in South Province (Area Six), as Gothitelle can also be found in this vicinity; however, it won’t appear on the map. Finding Gothitelle is much harder, but you can increase your chances of encountering it in the wild by eating sandwiches and meals that increase the likelihood of encountering Psychic-type Pokémon.
How To Evolve Gothita In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Despite locating each Pokémon from the Gothita evolutionary line increasing in difficulty, evolving it doesn’t pose much of a challenge. While we do advise catching a Gothita and evolving it to Gothorita and Gothitelle, rather than catching the latter, luckily, it doesn’t require any special tricks or mechanics to attain its evolutions.
By farming enough EXP, you can evolve Gothita to Gothorita can be achieved once you’ve reached Level 32. To evolve from Gothorita to Gothitelle can be done once it reaches Level 41, as each evolution sees the Pokémon grow larger and it also loses its lavender color, opting for darker shades and a gothic-like appearance.
