If there is one thing true about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet it is that the game has some of the most unique ways to evolve your Pokemon. Thanks to the fact that you can now see Pokemon roaming in the wild, the minds behind Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have come up with new ways to evolve Pokemon

This is true for the Pokemon known as Gimmighoul. Gimmighoul requires a unique item to evolve it. But it is not as simple as getting the item, using it, and evolving Gimmighoul. Because it is a bit more complex than that, we are here to explain how you can evolve your Gimmighoul into a Gholdengo.

How To Get Gholdengo In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can catch a large number of final-stage evolution Pokemon in the wild. This is unique as in past games, most third and second-stage Pokemon were not available to catch.

Although this is the case, you must evolve Gimmighoul to get Gholdengo. Getting Gholdengo is rather simple. Whenever you defeat or catch a Gimmighoul, you are rewarded with a Gimmighoul Coin. What you need to do is get 999 Gimmighoul Coins to evolve Gholdengo. Once you have the 999 coins, you just need to level up a Gimmighoul in your team to evolve it into Gholdengo.

Just remember that in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can only catch the Chest From Gimmighoul. The Roaming Form Gimmighoul is impossible to catch.

How To Get 999 Gimmighoul Coins Easily

There are two ways you can get Gimmighoul Coins. The first is to find Roaming Gimmighouls. These roaming Gimmighouls are found all over Paldea. They can be found on signs, boxes, on top of mountains, and in more areas. You can usually hear them and you just have to press A on them. Do that, and you have a chance to get 1 to 200 Gimmighoul Coins.

The recommended way to farm Gimmighoul Coins though is through finding Chest Form Gimmighouls. Catching or defeating the Chest Form gets you between 10 to even 777 Gimmighoul Coins. You will need a Chest Form Gimmighoul anyways, so we recommend going after this form to farm the coins you need. Once you have the 999 coins, just level up your Gimmighoul and it will evolve into a Gholdengo.
