The Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is finally here! Players will be able to explore new areas, battle tougher trainers, and, most importantly, obtain new Pokémon in this huge update. Additionally, some existing Pokémon will also be receiving new evolutions in this DLC.
One of these Pokémon is Applin, which previously could evolve into either Flapple or Appletun. Now, Applin has a new candy apple evolution called Dipplin. So, if you are curious to learn more, we have the answers you need.
This is our guide on how to evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask DLC!
How To Evolve Applin Into Dipplin In The Teal Mask DLC
Firstly, players will need to obtain an Applin. This can be done in both the base version of the game and the DLC. Players can find this Pokémon in the following locations:
- East Province Area One
- East Province Area Two
- South Province Area One
- South Province Area Two
- Tagtree Thicket
- West Province Area Three
- Fixed: East Province Area One
- Tera Raid Battles: 1*
- Apple Hills
- Kitakami Road
- Mossfell Confluence
- Fixed: Kitakami Wilds
- Mossfell Confluence
- Apple Hills Tera Raid Battles: 2* / 3*
Once you have obtained Applin, it is time to evolve it! Similar to the evolution methods required to obtain Flapple and Appletun, players will need to use a specific item to obtain Dipplin. This item is a Syrupy Apple.
Syrupy Apples can be found in Southeastern Kitakami in the Mossfell Confluence. They can be purchased infinitely for 500 Pokédollars each from any fruit stand.
After obtaining this item, all players will need to do is use the item on their Applin from their inventory, similar to using an elemental stone to evolve a Pokémon. There are no level, ove, or other requirements that need to be met. As long as you have an Applin and a Syrupy Apple, you can obtain a Dipplin right away!
Dipplin is a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon with a unique ability that lowers the evasiveness of opposing Pokémon when it enters the battle. It is defensively bulky with low speed and average stats in all other categories.
If you do not have the DLC, you will need to either trade with someone who has a Dipplin or trade with someone who has a spare Syrupy Apple.
