Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s introduction of Tera Raid Battle encounters has seen some differences from its counterpart in Sword and Shield, focusing on a featured Pokémon with a specific Tera type. Trainers have previously encountered Eevee and Charizard in these exciting battles, and it appears the next battle has been revealed.
Accordingly, the dynamic (typically) Fire-type Pokémon Cinderace will appear next in a 7-star Tera Raid Battle event, according to one source. Here’s what we know about the Cinderace Tera Raid Battle, including dates, times, and how to catch it in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Cinderace Tera Raid – Event Schedule & Details
According to a notable Pokémon source, Serebii, the next 7-star black crystal Tera Raid Battle event will feature the Fire-type Pokémon, Cinderace. This Tera Raid Battle event will occur in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on 30th December 2022 at 12 am UTC until 1st January 2023 at 11:59 pm UTC.
The battle will pick up once more on 13th January 2023 at 12 am UTC before concluding on 15th January 2023 at 11:59 pm UTC. This mighty Tera Raid battle is to coincide with the next Chinese zodiac cycle, the Year of the Rabbit.
This Tera Raid encounter differs from previous battles because Cinderace will feature as a Fighting type and not its default Fire type. Additionally, Cinderace will possess the “Mightiest Mark,” meaning it can only be acquired once for each game save data once you’ve successfully caught the Pokémon.
As it stands, Cinderace is currently unavailable in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Trainers to encounter and catch; however, this battle may finally add the Pokémon to the Paldean Pokédex. Likewise, this Tera Raid Battle will be the only chance you can get a Cinderace, as it could be included in upcoming events or become available in-game.
To participate in this ferocious battle, you must have the latest Poké Portal News update, which allows you to track down and join Tera Raid Battle events. Additionally, you must have completed specific endgame content in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where you can start locating black Tera Raid crystals across Paldea.
How To Catch Cinderace In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
Like the Charizard black crystal Tera Raid Battle, you’ll be paired up with three friends or online players to face Cinderace and defeat the Pokémon within the time limit. Cinderace will be a Fighting-Tera type, so having the best counters like Fairy, Flying, and Psychic types can aid you and your fellow Trainers.
Keep in mind that despite Cinderace being a Fighting-Tera type, it will still know Fire-type attacks which can still inflict considerable damage. So, to avoid Cinderace’s powerful Tera attacks, take advantage of its weaknesses and maximize your Pokémon’s strengths to defeat and catch Cinderace.
