Pokémon GO Safari Zone Taipei – All Special Research Challenges & Rewards

Developer Niantic and The Pokémon Company have brought the next in-person event, Safari Zone: Taipei, to Pokemon GO in October. Similarly to previous events held in Goyang, South Korea, and Sevilla, Spain, Trainers arrive from around the world to participate in exclusive timed gameplay activities. 

One of these event-exclusive activities is the latest series of Special Research tasks they can obtain from Professor Willow. We've detailed what Trainers need to know about the Special Research tasks and rewards for the Safari Zone: Taipei event for Pokémon GO.

All Special Research & Rewards For Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Taipei

The latest in-person event for Pokémon GO, Safari Zone, has arrived in Taipei City, taking place at the Da'an Forest Park from 22-23 October 2022. During this live event, Trainers can participate in various activities, including Wild Encounters, Raids, and Research activities to complete.

The Special Research see Trainers embarking on a "multi-part journey," completing various tasks given to them by Professor Willow. In return for their efforts, Trainers will receive rewards upon completing each task and earn even more rewards once all Research tasks have been done.

Notable Pokémon dataminer, Serebii, unveiled the Special Research tasks available exclusively to ticket holders attending the Safari Zone: Taipei event. Below, we've detailed the Special Research tasks and their rewards made available for the event's duration in Pokémon GO:

Safari Zone: Taipei Special Research (1/2)

• Transfer ten Pokémon: Incense x1
• Evolve three Pokémon: Great Ball x100
• Catch ten various Pokémon species: Rare Candy x5

Safari Zone: Taipei Special Research (2/2)

• Capture a snapshot with their buddy Pokémon: Lucky Egg x1
• Give the buddy Pokémon three treats: Great Ball x100
• Play with the buddy Pokémon three times: Star Piece x1

Those who've completed the first page of Special research tasks will earn a Super Egg Incubator, one Fast Technical Machine (TM), and ten Golden Razz Berries. Likewise, the second page will award Trainers one Premium Raid Pass, 30,000 Stardust, and an encounter with a Shiny Finneon.

It's worth reiterating that there are various event bonuses to take advantage of during the Safari Zone: Taipei event. These bonuses are available for the allocated date and time attendees can find printed on their ticket, which includes any of the following:

• Four extra Special Trades can be achieved during the event with the max cap of Special Trades at five a day
• Trades made throughout the event will utilize 50% less Stardust
• Exclusive Special Research and Field Research tasks are available for the live event
• Activate Incense during the event will now last eight hours; however, it does not apply to Daily Adventure Incense
• Trigger Lure Modules during the event will now last eight hours
• Buddy Pokémon will increase chances of locating Souvenirs, which includes the event-exclusive paper plane Souvenir
