A strange blur has been spotted in Pokémon GO, and those lucky enough to catch up with it will discover that the Mythical Pokémon, Keldeo, has arrived. This Pokémon will be featured in the upcoming Mythic Blade event for the current Season of Mythical Wishes.
Developer Niantic has announced what Trainers can expect from this event, which sees ferocious Raid Bosses, new Pokémon emerging, and a Special Research story for Keldeo. We’ve detailed everything about this event, including its schedule, Raid Bosses, Wild Encounters, and more.
Pokémon GO Mythic Blade – Event Dates & Times
The Pokémon GO Mythic Blade event will run from 6th December 2022 at 10 am local time until 11th December 2022 at 8 pm local time. In addition, Field Research tasks will be available, awarding you various rewards, including items and Pokémon encounters.
Similarly, a Collection Challenge will be available in-game, as finishing the corresponding tasks with earn you a Fast and Charged Technical Machine (TM). Lastly, Niantic confirmed that an event-exclusive Special Research story focused on Keldeo will be available for the weekend of 10th and 11th December 2022.
Pokémon GO Mythic Blade – Something Extraordinary Special Research
Pokémon GO Mythic Blade will include the event-exclusive Something Extraordinary Special Research story, which you can receive from 10th December 2022 at 10 am until 11th December 2022 at 8 pm local time. To access this Special Research story, you’ll need an event ticket which can be purchased via the in-game Shop for $7,99 or the equivalent of your local currency.
This story will award you with an encounter with Original Form Keldeo as its main reward, but there will additional rewards when completing each story task. Additionally, there are several Pokémon (and their Shiny forms*) appearing more frequently should you use Incense throughout the event, excluding Daily Adventure Incense, and we’ve listed these Pokémon below:

Pokémon GO Mythic Blade – Wild Encounters
During this event, the Fighting-type Crabrawler will debut in Pokémon GO. Alongside the crab-looking Pokémon, other Pokémon spawn in various Wild Encounters with the chance of encountering their Shiny forms (*). Below we’ve listed all the Pokémon appearing in Wild Encounters and their Shiny forms for the Mythic Blade event in Pokémon GO:

Pokémon GO Mythic Blade – Raid Encounters
As stated above, the Mythic Blade event will feature various Raid encounters. This event includes multiple Raids, including two five-star Raids featuring Terrakion and Virizon.
A Mega Raid featuring the Mega Aggron will also be available for the event, with the likelihood that these Pokémon will have their Shiny forms appearing in the Raid encounters. Let’s look at all Raid encounters available during Pokémon GO’s Mythic Blade event:

If you catch Terrakion or Virizion during the Mythic Blade event, they’ll learn a new featured Attack, Sacred Sword. Additionally, Keldeo will know this move if you complete the Special research story and successfully catch the Pokémon, which will learn the Sacred Sword Attack.
