Phasmophobia: How To Complete Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge

Arguably the most difficult of Phasmophobia's permanent challenges is the Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge. To finish it, you'll need to correctly identify the ghost and survive many times on the game's hardest map. Here's how to complete the Sunny Meadows Survival challenge for yourself.

Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge Guide

Completing the Sunny Meadows Survival challenge requires you to successfully identify the ghost on Sunny Meadows and survive 50 times.

Sunny Meadows Restricted Map

You can complete the Sunny Meadows Survival challenge on Sunny Meadows or Sunny Meadows Restricted. Restricted is a smaller version of Sunny Meadows - or, rather, several small versions of the map, one of which you'll roll randomly - so we'd highly recommend heading there rather than to the full map. 

Ghost Rooms

Sunny Meadows is a huge map, and the Restricted version of the map has several different variations, each of which makes up a single wing. Any of the rooms, as well as the hallways, can be a ghost room - so it's important to walk through the entire map until you're able to successfully locate the ghost's favorite room.

Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge Equipment

Sunny Meadows can be a tough map, so you'll want to bring along your best Tier III equipment for this one. Here's a starter loadout to help you find the ghost for this challenge:

• Head Gear
• Ghost Writing Book
• Video Camera
• D.O.T.S. Projector
• EMF Reader
• Spirit Box
• Thermometer
• UV Light
• Salt
• Incense
• Lighter

If you're playing with friends, you'll likely want to bring along duplicates of most items so you can both keep one on hand. If you'd like to get some photos for bonus money, you can also bring a Photo Camera, but that's totally optional and may slow down your challenge.

Difficulty Level

The Sunny Meadows Survival challenge is tough, so many players prefer to do this one on Amateur - and we'd recommend it, too, especially if you're a beginner player. Playing on Amateur ensures that the ghost won't change rooms, and will give you all three evidence, making it easier to identify and find them.

But if you'd prefer to do this challenge on Intermediate or even higher, you can - just prepare for a much more difficult experience and prepare for the ghost room to occasionally change at higher difficulty levels!

Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge Rewards

You'll finish the Ranger Challenge as soon as you identify your 50th ghost on one of the Sunny Meadows maps and survive. Upon completing the challenge, you'll earn yourself the Inmate ID badge!
