A reboot of the 2000's spy-thriller of the same name, Perfect Dark is a first-person action game from the newly formed Xbox Studio - The Initiative, and Crystal Dynamics, the studio widely known for the Tomb Raider series. 

Ever since its announcement, Perfect Dark has been at the center of the attention of many Xbox fans. In many ways, this could be the Uncharted equivalent of the action blockbuster Xbox needs. Unfortunately, this "AAAA" game continues to be shrouded in mystery even two years after its initial reveal. Perfect Dark Story

Perfect Dark is an "eco sci-fi" game set in the near future with ecological imbalances. Natural disasters are a regular occurrence, and sadly, the mega-corporations in control aren't doing anything to save this drowning futuristic society. 
You play as Joanna Dark, an agent of Carrington Institute, who was also the protagonist in the Past Perfect Dark games. Aside from being the main character, her role in the upcoming reboot remains unclear at the moment. 

Perfect Dark Gameplay & News

Perfect Dark is a spy action game that plays from a first-person perspective. If the previous installments are any indication, expect a host of unique gadgets at your disposal, alongside modern weaponry. Joanna is very agile, so expect to shoot, slide, dodge, and jump a lot. 

Sadly, it's too early to comment on how exactly Perfect Dark will play out since The Initiative has yet to reveal any gameplay footage for the game.

Perfect Dark Release Date Speculation

At the time of writing, there is no official confirmed release date for Perfect Dark, but in this article, you’ll find all (if any) information that the developer shared, as well as some speculation from Ginx on when we could see it launch.

Rumors in the past have suggested a 2023 or 2024 release window though nothing significant has come up that would indicate the same. 

If a 2023 or a 2024 release window is real, an update at The Game Awards 2022 will make a lot of sense. 

Perfect Dark Platforms

While Microsoft hasn't specified the platforms yet, you could expect Perfect Dark to release exclusively on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Microsoft has confirmed that it will also be a day one Xbox Game Pass title.
