Palia has plenty of amazing Housing Add-Ons and customization options to help players construct their dream homes. Some are obtained through quests, leveling Skills, completing Accomplishments, and purchased from shops and Guild Store, which is true for the Well.
A unique Furnishing item that can be acquired in-game, the Well will ensure players sufficiently maintain their home gardens and have an abundance of crops to harvest. If players are looking to obtain this well-hidden item, we’ve explained how they can get and best use the Well Furnishing item in Palia.
How To Get The Well Furnishing Item In Palia?
The Well is a unique Furnishing item for their Housing Plot that many players aren’t aware they can acquire in-game. However, this item cannot be obtained in the early game because it is a Skill-based unlockable, and you will have to level up a specific Skill before the option is available.
Acquiring the Well will task players with leveling up the Gardening Skill until they’ve reached Level 10 before the Weekly Challenges become available and can be viewed from the Accomplishments tab within the Character Profile menu. They can start earning Gardening Skill Medals, which they will need as they can be used as currency to acquire higher rarity items from Badruu.
The Well can be purchased from Badruu’s Gardening Guild Store once they meet the prerequisites of having the Gardening Skill Level 15. Additionally, they’ll need to bank as many Gardening Skill Medals as possible, as the Well costs 1,120 Skill Medals, the most expensive item to get from the store.
How To Use The Well Furnishing Item In Palia?
As of writing, the Well cannot be modified nor crafted from the Worktable, so once it's acquired, it will be added to the Backpack Inventory (if there’s space) or sent directly to Storage. The Well can be placed anywhere on the Housing Plot, but we recommend placing it near their garden, especially if it’s too far from the pond.
The reason is that the Well serves one purpose: to refill players’ Watering Cans, which can be pretty valuable when planting or maintaining crops. Especially if the garden is far from a water source, the Well is another quick option for players to fill up their Watering Can and continue gardening activities.
This is only recommended for crops that do require frequent watering, as potatoes and tomatoes or tomato-only gardens will grant neighboring crops a gardening boost. This boost, which can also be acquired from the HydratePro Fertilizer, will retain water guaranteed that the crop itself is watered, but regardless, it’s quite an aesthetically pleasing item to have when water fountains don’t allow the refilling of Watering Cans.
Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
