Palia's Summer Serenade update added some sizzling hot content that Palians have already begun exploring and unlocking through gameplay progression. Amongst some of the new content arrivals is a bevy of cool new cosmetics, including gliders, outfits, outfit bundles, pets, tool skins, and a new way to personalize their in-game character name

Nameplates are a group of unique customization cosmetics that can be either bought or unlocked before they're equipped to display their character name proudly when exploring Kilima Village and Bahari Bay. As for how Palians can get their hands on these cool cosmetics, we've detailed in this guide how to get and equip Nameplates in Palia.

How To Get The Nameplates In Palia?

Nameplates are the latest cosmetic items in the v0.182 patch, the Summer Serenade update for the cozy MMO Palia. These cosmetic items allow Palians to customize their in-game character names, adding plenty of personality when exploring the game's overworld.

These nameplates can be seen by all active players in-game and by the players themselves, the latter of which is visible in the top left corner of the HUD. According to the v0.182 patch notes detailed by developer Singularity 6, there are two known ways to acquire nameplates in Palia.

Firstly, Nameplates can be purchased in-game from the exclusive Home Tours Store and accessed from the Home Tours Board on their Housing Plot. Approach the board and hit the G key or the Y button on the Switch Joy-Con to enter the store where, from the available Inventory, they can purchase one or all of the Nameplates using Tour Tickets, which are as follows:

Nameplate:  Cost/Price:
Fierce Fatale Nameplate 100 Tour Tickets
Lilypad Leaper Nameplate
Redland Rover Nameplate
Starfall Sylph Nameplate

The second way Palians can get Nameplates is through the Home Tours system, which can be unlocked when other Palians visit their homes. Each time they visit your Housing Plot and provide an emoji reaction, you can unlock a Nameplate corresponding to the emoji provided.

According to the patch notes, each Nameplate theme has three tiers, each unlocked based on the emoji reactions accumulated during the Home Tours event. Once the event ends and resets for the following week, all Nameplate unlocks will be awarded to them, which resets the emoji amassed, and new emoji variations may be added for the next event week "to mix things up."

We have a guide that details how Palians can earn Tour Tickets through the Home Tours system and how to access the store. Once they acquire a few Nameplates, the next step is to equip them to add "flair" behind their in-game character names.

How To Equip The Nameplates In Palia?

Now, the confusing part regarding Nameplates is equipping them to their character in-game. While the developer wasn't clear in the patch notes on how these can be equipped, one Palian on Reddit commented just how it can be achieved.

According to Redditor L1lv1athan, Nameplates can be equipped from the Collections menu, which can be accessed by hitting the T key or the L Button on the Switch Joy-Con to bring up the Emote Wheel. Clicking on the Edit option, they enter the Collections menu and select the Nameplates tab, where they can find all the Nameplates they own and view ones that are still locked.
