Palia: Where To Find & Use Jasper Starstones

It’s been a few days since the release of the v0.172 patch update for Palia, which brought Starstones and the Star Path mechanic in-game. As there are ten Starstones to acquire, each Starstone is assigned an associated constellation or Star Path with unique characteristics that best suit each Starstone.

Jasper Starstones are one of these Starstones, and luckily for players, they won’t have to seek high or low for them. If the stars are aligned with this Starstone, here’s how to get and best use them in Palia.

Where To Find Jasper Starstones In Palia?

Due to its rich orange hue, the Jasper Starstone is one of ten precious gemstones added to Palia in its v0.172 update. Players have already begun mining runs to acquire Starstones in Kilima Village and Bahari Bay, and yes, they are associated with their corresponding constellation or Star Path.

According to developer Singularity 6, the Jasper Starstone is an Epic rarity item that physically represents "The Farmer" Star Path. Those aligned with it possess specific characteristics, including being family-orientated and diligent.

Nevertheless, obtaining the Jasper Starstones can be done through mining in which they are to locate specific mining nodes. More specifically, they can mine small to large rocks and standard stone nodes throughout Kilima Village, Bahari Bay, and ones found on the Housing plot.

As players can acquire Jasper Starstones from these specific nodes, any type of Pick from Makeshift (Standard) to Exquisite Pick can be used to mine these nodes. However, the Exquisite Pick can be obtained by leveling the Mining skill and getting the recipe from Hodari.

How To Use Jasper Starstones In Palia?

As players can obtain Jasper Starstones through mining rocks and stone nodes using any Pick, they should easily be able to get as many Jasper Starstones as possible. Do note that it's not guaranteed that every node will drop Starstones in general, as they are randomized drops that also receive various ores, stones, and flint.

Once they have Jasper Starstones in their Inventory, they can begin using them in various ways; the first option is to sell them off. Depending on the rarity, as Jasper Starstones is an Epic rarity, it will influence how much Gold they'll get as players can get 800 Gold for every Jasper Starstone sold through the Shipping Bin.

Another way is through gifting Starstones, which players can gift to other players who've requested them from the Requests tab. Navigate to the Socials tab by pressing the O key, and they can view players, including friends and Community members, who are requesting them before gifting them.

Lastly, they can also gift Jasper Starstones to Villagers aligned with "The Farmer" Star Path, who are Kenli and Nai'o. Remember that after giving it to these Villagers, they'll have to wait for the cooldown period to reset every Sunday at 4 am UTC, but they can only gift one Jasper Starstone to the Villager once weekly.

Palia is currently available via the Epic Games Store and in Open Beta for PC, as players can install the game launcher detailed in this guide. The game is now available to download for Nintendo Switch as of 14th December 2023.
