The former Starcraft: Brood War player had previously coached Overwatch Contenders team Mosiac Esports before stepping into OWL by joining Seoul Dynasty in August 2018.
In an annoucement by Seoul Dynasty, KDG's contract expired and the parties had not re-signed. It is not known if KDG has another team lined up or if Dynasty were unhappy with the results of the lineup during Season 2.
There are two assistant coaches that remain part of the team in the form of Ju-hyeop "WhyNot" Lee and Chang-geun "changgoon" Park.
During the Regular Season, Seoul Dynasty featured in both the Stage 1 and Stage 3 playoffs, with losses to Vancouver Titans and San Francisco Shock respectively, who both made the finals of the Playoffs.
Seoul Dynasty finished in eighth place and were also present at the Playoffs for Season 2 after a fight through the Play-In against Guangzhou Charge to earn their place in the Playoffs 4-1.
This was a big step on which the team unfortunately stumbled as a loss to the eventual finalists Vancouver Titans and a crippling 1-4 loss to Hangzhou Spark sent them out as quickly as they entered. Appearing in the quarterfinals did net the team $200,000 as consolation.
Heading into the 2020 Season, Seoul Dynasty have yet to reveal their homestand venue(s). The transition to pre-scheduled homestand games has seen all OWL teams find 'home' venues in their namesake locations to host multiple games next year.
Various teams including London Spitfire, Atlanta Reign and Guangzhou Spark are still yet to find or announce a venue but some have started to sell tickets in advance despite this minor setback.
