Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without the return of the Halloween Terror event, and this year it's packed with both new and returning game modes and features. Let’s dive into the details.
Overwatch 2 Season 13 New Mythic, Halloween Content And More
At the center of Season 13 is the new Mythic skin for Widowmaker, called Spellbinder Widowmaker. As usual, the skin comes with custom animations, stunning visual effects, color and pattern variants, and new weapon sound effects. The skin will be available through the Battle Pass, so there's no need to spend extra money on it.
Speaking of the Battle Pass, the Premium version this season offers 80 tiers of rewards, including 80 Mythic Prisms and the new Mythic Skin. Players can use these Mythic Prisms to enhance their fully maxed Mythic skins with Gilded Aspects, giving them a sleek gold-and-black look.
Additionally, unlocking Premium Battle Pass tiers will reward players with five festive Legendary skins, including Bog Witch Ana, Necrotic Witch Junker Queen, Witchbane Sojourn, Gnome Torbjorn, and Monstrous Sigma. Plus, the My Hero Academia collaboration skins will be available from October 17th to the 30th, offering even more cosmetic options for Season 13.
There will also be map reworks for Circuit Royale, Dorado, Havana, and Numbani, which is no small feat from the developers. While the extent of these reworks hasn’t been revealed yet, we're excited to see how Blizzard has tackled the pain points on these maps. There was also a small tease for a new Tank Hero likely coming in Season 14 at the end of the trailer, while we don't know much about them yet, we're excited to see who's coming to the roster next.
Lastly, Season 13’s Halloween Terror event will run from October 15th to November 4th. It will feature the return of fan-favorite modes like Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride, complete with new challenges, enemies, and bosses, alongside the new Junkenstein’s Laboratory PvP mode.
With all this fantastic content to look forward to in Season 13, it’s shaping up to be a great time to jump into Overwatch 2. We wish everyone a spooky Halloween season, and we’ll see you all in Season 13!
