Overwatch 2 Roadmap (2024): All Season 10 Updates and Beyond

Overwatch 2 is packed full of content to enjoy, but as with any live-service game, there's always more on the horizon. On this page, we're going to be keeping you updated with all the most important and pressing news related to the Overwatch 2 Roadmap. The majority of these details have all been confirmed and released by Blizzard through official channels, but we'll also keep you updated on any 'unofficial' details as they're leaked.

All Overwatch 2 Plans For 2024

During BlizzCon 2023 fans got plenty of insight into what to expect from the game throughout 2024. Although it's not a cast iron roadmap, here's what we can expect to see added to the game over the course of the next year.

New Overwatch 2 Heroes

During the Opening Ceremony for Blizzcon 2023, Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller confirmed that the game will be releasing "three more" heroes. So far, only 'Venture' and 'Space Ranger' have been revealed, with the third expected to arrive in Season 14 towards the end of 2024.

Venture, introduced as a new damage hero, is scheduled to make an entrance in Season 10.  Like any hero to join the Overwatch lineup, the character has a distinctive appearance featuring a trench coat, large boots, goggles, and wielding a substantial weapon that resembles a drilling machine. Early gameplay also shows she'll be able to drill under the map to avoid damage.

On the support side, a character codenamed 'Space Ranger' is set to join the Overwatch 2 roster in Season 12. The first glimpse of this hero hints at a sci-fi aesthetic, with the character donning what seems to be advanced body armor or a modern space suit. For now, all we can speculate is that the character will bring plenty of mobility to the role.

Upcoming Battle Pass Themes

Themed seasons will continue throughout 2024, with several seasonal themes already discussed, including eldritch horror, Egyptian mythology, witches, and a mirror universe where heroes take on the roles of villains and vice versa.

New Gamemodes

Keller also provided plenty of insights into a brand new competitive game mode named Clash. Clash features five capture points, with teams initially battling for control of the central point before expanding their fight across the entire map. The win conditions include capturing all points or reaching the maximum score.

New Maps

Finally, we also know that a new Overwatch 2 map called Hanaoka is being developed for the game's new 'Clash' game mode. Hanaoka will be based on the Hanamura map which is currently only available in Custom games and Arcade, due to the removal of the Assault mode from standard modes.

Overwatch 2 Season 9 Roadmap

With each new season of Overwatch 2 a smaller 'bite-sized' roadmap is released to indicate what content is coming throughout the season.

Overwatch 2 Season 10 Roadmap

As part of a new developer update released on March 19, 2024, Blizzard has confirmed the following changes to the game from Season 10 onwards.

• New hero Venture is unlocked immediately following Season 10's release
• ALL heroes are unlocked for everyone
• Unlock Past Mythic Skins as part of new Mythic Shop
• More control over you Mythic Hero Skins
• Earn 600 FREE Coins in the Battle Pass
• New Clash Game Mode Trial in Season 10
• New Clash Map Trial (Hanaoka) in Season 10
• New Push Map: Runasapi in Season 11
