How To Unlock Golden Guns In Overwatch 2
To get a golden gun in Overwatch 2, you'll need to head to the Hero Gallery and spend some of your Competitive Points. Competitive Points are earned in Competitive Mode; you win 15 points if you win, but you'll still earn 5 points if you lose or draw. In other words, you need to play Overwatch 2's Competitive Mode and stock up on Competitive Points if you want to purchase any golden guns.
You'll also earn Competitive Points at the end of the season depending on your rank, which can be extremely helpful to save up for a golden gun:
- Grandmaster/Top 500: 1,750 CP
- Master: 1,200 CP
- Diamond: 750 CP
- Platinum: 500 CP
- Gold: 250 CP
- Silver: 125 CP
- Bronze: 65 CP
To buy the golden gun, click the hero whose golden gun you want to purchase from the Hero Gallery. Next, click 'Weapons' and select 'Golden."
Overwatch 2 Golden Gun Cost
Golden guns cost 3,000 Competitive Points each in the Hero Gallery. They certainly aren't cheap, but that's because they are meant to be one of the rarest items in the game and, thus, one of the hardest to get. If you want to get your own golden gun in Overwatch, you'll need to play the game's Competitive Mode a lot to earn up the points you need.
If you want to get golden guns for multiple characters, don't forget you'll need to pay the 3,000 Competitive Points cost for each of them - in other words, you'll need a lot of Competitive Points if you plan on getting a golden gun for every character!
