NBA fans are eagerly anticipating the launch of 2K's latest edition of the long-running NBA 2K franchise. However, one of the biggest questions surrounding the release of this year's game is whether players will be able to gain early access ahead of the official release date.
In previous years 2K would feature an 'early tip off' launch, which was a very creative way of allowing players who pre-ordered the game to jump in ahead of launch.
But is early tip-off available in NBA 2K24? In this article, we'll look at whether or not early access is an option for those who want to be ahead of the chasing pack.

Does NBA 2k24 Have Early Access?
Plenty of sporting franchises now offer early access to their titles so fans can get ahead of the competition, get to the latest in-game content and see all the new features. With all this said, many NBA2K players would jump at the chance to gain early access to do the above, but is it an option?
Sadly, the answer is no; if you are desperate to get your hands on the latest entry, you will be forced to wait until the release day on Friday, September 8th, when it will be available to all players and across all platforms.
It may surprise fans of other sports titles, such as Madden 24, EA Sports FC, and F1 23, but not too much of a shock to those who bought NBA2K23 last year. In fact, NBA have dropped their early access pre-order bonus for a good few years now.
Pre-order bonuses are still available for the various versions of NBA2K24, each providing different rewards such as MyCAREER boosts, Virtual Currency, and MyTEAM player packs, and the premium Anniversary edition includes an NBA League Pass. But there's no longer an early tip off bonus.
Bad news for NBA2K fans, but on the bright side, no one is getting a head start. Everyone is in the same boat, so there is no pay to win early here.
