If you're diving into NBA 2K24 after playing the last few years, it can be a bit confusing that the ability to change body type at build creation is missing. Fortunately it's still an option, but it'll take a little extra work this year if you wanna change your look in MyCAREER.
We've got all the details you need on how to change body type in NBA 2K24, and it includes a trip to the Gatorade Training Facility. Fortunately, you'll knock out a few things at this time because the building has plenty of bonuses.
How to Change Body Type in NBA 2K24
NBA 2K24 MyCAREER has changed up several things about the overall structure we saw last year. The most noticeable is the shift away from complex story quests and towards pure basketball, but several spects of the MyPLAYER builder got altered.
One of the smaller ones players may not have noticed out of the gate is that body type is no longer something you can select while choosing your MyPLAYER appearance. This year, you actually have to do workouts to unlock additional body types.
You'll start with the Standard or Regular body type, but in order to change it you'll need to head to the Gatorade Training Facility and do multiple workouts. Over time, you'll unlock additional body types like Solid, Buff, or Burly.
Once unlocked, go to change your MyPLAYER appearance and Edit Head, then move to the bottom and you'll see an option to edit Chest settings. While there is no field at first, one will open up after you unlock new options and allow you to change body type in NBA 2K24.
Gatorade Training Facility Location & Boosts
If you haven't yet visited the Gatorade Training Facility, it's fortunately not difficult to find. The building is just southwest of the arena and northwest of the shopping center. If you want to fast travel, take the subway to City West and it'll be just east of you.
Once you've arrived, make sure to participate in all five workouts. The Gatorade Training Facility is only usable once per week, so you'll want to return each calendar week (not in-game week) to finish your workouts. If you're unfamiliar with a particular minigame, do a warmup workout to get the timing sorted out first.
In addition to eventually being able to change body type in NBA 2K24, you'll score badge progression with a few of the workouts. Once completed, you'll also unlock Gatorade Boosts to use on your MyPLAYER. Just make sure to keep coming back every week for more.
