We have been witnesses of accelerated progress in women’s sports as the female FIFA World Cup, Olympians and of course the WNBA have seen themselves inspiring future athletes.
In the case of the WNBA specifically, we attested the first member of the WNBA becoming a cover athlete for NBA 2K at the hands of the Chicago Sky’s icon: Candace Parker.
To go along with that we are getting a contemporary, state-of-the-art The W game mode that will become the most realistic WNBA virtual experience to date.
What´s new with The W in NBA 2K22?
This year The W will feel closer than ever to what we experience in MyCareer game mode as we will enjoy a deeper embodiment of our future WNBA star as the progression badges are introduced.
Progression badges is an old friend in MyCareer that allows the user to specialize the avatar in certain abilities that are divided into four categories:
- Playmaking
- Shooting
- Finishing
- Defence
Also, players will enjoy “a more thoughtful and balanced workout regimen” as some off-day playable activities will be added to the game mode.
You will be able to hone your abilities with practice or interact with coaches and other WNBA stars that will grant you to be more trusted on and off the court and with it a faster way to see progress in your skills.
Each of them will help you sharpen a particular dexterity that will round you up to become the future of the league.
We will stay attentive as more information could be released in the upcoming days before the official release of the game on September 10th.
