Capcom's newest Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion has much to offer, boasting tons of new Endemic Life scattered across the many different locales in the game. Hunters can find nine new types of Endemic Life, each taking the form of various shapes, sizes, and species in Sunbreak.
While some of these creatures can be advantageous to players, others seem to only cause havoc to Hunters and Monsters alike. This guide will detail all nine new Endemic Life in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, including each of their locations and how to find them.
MHR Sunbreak - List Of All Endemic Life And Locations
For the uninitiated, Endemic Life are unique creatures that inhabit various areas within the locales of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Unfortunately, Hunters will not be able to capture these Monsters; instead, they can only photograph them.

As mentioned earlier, the latest expansion update features nine unique Endemic Life scattered across the map for eager Hunters to find. We've detailed each of them below and their respective locations.
Regalfin
This Endemic Life is located on the Jungle map, in Area 2 in the far north. Once you’ve reached Area 2, climb up a small cliff site and drop down into a slope that leads to a beach site. The Regalfin will only be active during the daytime.
Gargolda
Gargolda is a rare Wyvern that dwells in the Citadel highlands. This Endemic Life is located far east of Area 4 around the ruined buildings, near the mountain. Hunters can only find Gargoldas during sunset.
Marionette Spider
The Marionette Spider is covered in blue hair and uses its thread to control Monsters, moving them in the desired direction. You can find this Endemic Life in the underground of the Jungle map, in Areas 3 and 11.
Gold Wirebug
The Gold Wirebug is a type of Morphed Wirebug found in the Shrine Ruins in Areas 6 and 13 and underground the Lava Caverns in Areas 5 and 9. Capturing this bug has a bonus effect: Wyvern Riding attackers are more likely to cause a Monster to drop materials.
Ruby Wirebug
Similar to the Gold Wirebug, the Ruby Wirebug is another type of Morphed Wirebug, found in Areas 4 and 10 of the Shrined Ruins; Hunters can also find them in the Frost Islands, by Areas 6 and 10. In addition, this Wirebug gives a bonus effect, enabling Mounted Punishers to do more damage.
Slicercrab
Slicercrab is a species of hermit crab found in the Jungle. You can find this Endemic Life in a cluster of three on the Jungle map, specifically, underground Area 8. You can lure in your enemies and use the Slicercrab to attack, as they are extremely territorial.
Spearsquid
These squids are found in the water surrounding the Jungle; they have sharp, point bodies that inflict injuries on large monsters. Spearsquid can be located between Areas 3 and 10. Although these creatures only exist to swim and have no instinct to fight, you can use them to lure prey in their path and have them do damage.
Starburst Bug
Starburst Bug shells are covered in dust that reacts to external stimuli; upon impact, the dust will detonate and cause damage to the creatures around it. You can find the Starburst Bug in Areas 7 and 12 of the Shrine Ruins and Areas 9 and 11 on Jungle. Alternatively, you can find them in Frost Islands' Areas 5 and 9 and underground Areas 7 and 12 of Lava Caverns.
Thorny Toad
These small amphibians are found in droves in the Resinmires of the Citadel’s Forest. You can use their elastic tongues, tipped with suckers, to cling to wood, masonry, and other creatures.
That concludes our guide on all new Endemic Life and their locations in MHR: Sunbreak.
